About this winery

Château Roquefort is a picturesque family estate nestled in the heart of Entre‑deux‑Mers, just 20 km from Saint‑Émilion. The Bellanger family revitalized the property in 1976, replanting 100 ha of vineyards on a historically rich site—complete with a Neolithic dolmen, 13th‑century château, dovecote, and 18th‑century chartreuse. Today the estate spans 240 ha of diverse landscapes: vineyards, forests, meadows and pastures, emphasizing biodiversity and sustainable farming...

Production notes

The Château Roquefort grand red cuvée represents the finest expression of its terroir. Crafted from 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, it combines the roundness and richness of Merlot with the structure and elegance of Cabernet. This wine reveals intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits, enhanced by subtle hints of spice and well-integrated oak. On the palate, it offers great complexity, silky tannins, and a long, elegant finish—an ideal balance of power and finesse. Perfect to pair with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
