About this winery
Overlooking the Mediterranean and sheltered by the Pyrenees is the wine region of Empordá in Catalonia. Product notes
We recommend serving the wine at 12-14ºC to maintain its freshness, since if served colder its expressive aromas would remain hidden. To accompany… Quinze Roures is a wonderful wine for all meals. A wine with ample body and spicy aromas. We opt to pair it with stronger dishes: fish stews or our local rice dishes (similar to paella) with vegetables, chicken and seafood. Fall vegetables like pumpkin, or roasted peppers also pair quite well.
Production notes
Lledoner Roig (Grenache Gris) is a local variety named for its greyish and pale pink-coloured skin. The vines (3-4%) are hidden among the Carignan vines. Manual harvest. Each variety is vinified separately. The whole grapes of the Lledoner Roig are cold pressed at extremely low yields to prevent the wine from turning pink. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Transfer to a cement egg to gain greater complexity. Ageing on lees for 5 months and undergo autolysis with yeasts. Light filtration.
Tasting notes
Intense and persistent white fruit aromas. The freshness of our Mediterranean vineyard is evident in the salinity and creaminess that dominate the palate. Great balance of minerality and volume. Quinze Roures (15 oaks).
