Château Duplantier 2021

- 93 points -

The 2021 Chateau Duplantier showed beautifully. Based on 32% Petite Sirah, 26% Syrah, 21% Mourvèdre, and 21% Grenache, it has a spicy, red and black-fruited, savory herb and peppery style as well as full-bodied richness and depth on the palate. It's balanced, has ripe yet present tannins, and a great finish. It reminds me of a ripe Gigondas and will keep for a decade or more
