Friuli Alma Pinot Bianco 2020
Bright yellow with a melted-ghee and buttercup nose. Plenty of oak here. Lanolin and chamomile. Bitter lemon and pan cotta. The acidity is long and intense with a definitive mid-line bite. The acidity really carries the wine and goes a way to balancing the slightly custardy, waxy character of the oak. Makes quite a statement.
