About this winery

Founded in 1849 by Albert Brenot in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Doudet-Naudin is one of the oldest Burgundy wine Maisons. In 1933 it was acquired by the Doudet family, who have developed and expanded the Maison while preserving its fundamental values: respect for traditions and excellence. Christophe Rochet, the current head of Doudet-Naudin, is committed to maintaining the values of this well-respected Maison while restructuring it.

Tasting notes

The wine has a brilliant, deep vermilion color. The aromas exude nuances of black and red fruits (kirsch, raspberry, and blackberry) supported by fine, well-integrated tannins. Slightly spicy and animal notes will develop over time, while still allowing the unique terroir of this Premier Cru to shine through. The palate is simultaneously fleshy, tender, complex, and elegant, with tannins and balance that promise excellent aging potential. This is a consistently elegant and balanced wine.
