Founded in 1987 by Jean-Paul and Minna, Domaine VILLA MINNA is a family winery located between Aix-en-Provence and Salon-de-Provence. A former rally driver, Jean-Paul decides to settle with his Finnish wife on his grandfather's land, which was fallow at the time. After several years of preparing the soil, they replanted quality grape varieties and in 1999 marketed their first wine, a red MINNA, which quickly obtained recognition with a star in the Hachette Guide. In 2005, after several years of testing, the first white MINNA saw the light of day. The grape varieties consist of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre and Grenache for the reds, and Vermentino, Roussanne and Marsanne for the whites. Since 2020, the estate has been restructuring its vineyard in order to increase its production of white wines, which currently only represent 30% of production. Several red plots were uprooted and replanted with white grape varieties such as Clairette and Vermentino in 2023, then Roussanne and Marsanne in 2024.
